Meaning: is/are (polite form)

Meaning: is/are (casual form)
Usage:
Used to make casual statements about nouns and na-adjectives
Examples:
- 私は学生だ。I am a student.
- これは本だ。This is a book.
Note:
Casual form used among friends and in informal situations.

〜じゃありません / 〜ではありません
Meaning: is not / are not
Usage:
Negative form of です
Examples:
- 私は学生じゃありません。I am not a student.
- これは本ではありません。This is not a book.

〜ます
Meaning: polite verb ending
Usage:
Used to make polite statements with verbs
Examples:
- 私は日本語を勉強します。I study Japanese.
