〜ように
Meaning: in order to / so that
Usage:
Used to express purpose or intention
Examples:
- 日本語が上手になるように毎日勉強しています。I study every day so that my Japanese will improve.
- 電車に間に合うように急ぎました。I hurried so that I would catch the train.
Note:
Used with potential form or dictionary form of verbs.

〜ために
Meaning: for the sake of / in order to
Usage:
Used to express purpose with nouns or dictionary form of verbs
Examples:
- 健康のために運動しています。I exercise for my health.
- 家族のために働いています。I work for my family.

〜ばかり
Meaning: only / just / nothing but
Usage:
Used to express that something is all one does or all there is
Examples:
- 彼は文句ばかり言っています。He's always complaining.
- この本は漢字ばかりで難しいです。This book is difficult because it's all kanji.
Note:
Can be used with nouns, verbs in て-form, or past tense verbs.

〜はず
Meaning: should / ought to / supposed to
Usage:
Used to express expectation or assumption
Examples:
- 田中さんは来るはずです。Mr. Tanaka should come.
- この問題は簡単なはずです。This problem should be easy.

〜かもしれない
Meaning: might / maybe / perhaps
Usage:
Used to express possibility or uncertainty
Examples:
- 明日雨が降るかもしれません。It might rain tomorrow.
- 彼は忙しいかもしれません。He might be busy.
Note:
More casual than でしょう. Can be shortened to かも.
